Now Open: Join LEAP 2026-2027 Online Training Program

Application to join the NSERC CREATE LEAP Online Training program 2026-2027 is now open for graduate students from LEAP participating institutions.

The deadline for graduate students application is Friday, May 15, 2026. Graduate trainee application form and information guide can be found here

LEAP has also started the recruitment process for 10 Northern-based Additional Trainee positions in 2026-2027 program year. Application deadline for Norhtern-based additional trainee positions is August 31, 2026. Information about Northern-based additional trainee position within the LEAP program and trainee application form can found here

Call for Applications: Northern-based additional trainees

LEAP is accepting applications from Northern-based additional trainees to join the 2025-2026 LEAP Online Training program in permafrost thaw and Northern research. Each year, LEAP accepts up to 10 additional trainees from among northern institutions, universities, research centers, local community organizations, and other Northern-based professional entities who will join the program alongside graduate students.

Applications for additional trainee positions in the LEAP 2025-2026 program year are now open until August 31, 2025.

Now Open: 2025-2026 CREATE LEAP graduate trainee application

The application to join the CREATE LEAP program as a graduate trainee for the 2025-2026 program year is now open. Graduate students interested in joining the LEAP Online Training Course should email their full application and CV to createleap@cunet.carleton.ca

Deadline to apply: April 25, 2025.
